It only concerns patients who have a skin
excess localized at the abdomen area.
Abdominal surgery WILL NECESSITATE a long scar dissimulated
by the underwear. This very scar, even if it is perfectly performed
by the surgeon, will take a long time to fade away (2 years).
Sometimes it will remain visible for ever.
This fundamental element must be taken into account by the
patient if he/she thinks that the risk resulting from the operation
is too big as regards the observed defect.
Besides, this esthetic surgery operation (sometimes refunded
in France by the national health insurance) may involve a lot
of medical side effects : phlebites, hematoms, bad healing.
During the post operational term, the patient will have to
be observed on a regular basis by his/her doctor, and the hospitalization
may take more time than the other operations.
