THE PATIENTS

Any surgery operation involves risks. It is then our duty to refuse some operations despite the pressure of some patients. Though our techniques are constantly improving, some small, discrete imperfections might remain, which the patients will have to accept.
For instance, there may be a slight difference of volume between the two breasts after an operation. Still,  I do not know any non-operated woman who has two completely identical breasts !

CHOSING THE RIGHT SURGEON

Plastic,aesthetic and reconstructive surgery is a vast discipline. It deals with all the treatments of the body disorders ( which can be accidental, congenital, ortumoral). There often exists within the plastic technicians a certain specialization (child malformations, breast reconstruction, face surgery ...).
 Many plastic surgeons who work as a liberal in the largest cities have abandonned many general plastic surgery operations and have thus specialized in aesthetic surgery.
Beyond the technical abilities, the subjective factor plays an important role when one has to chose his or her aesthetic surgeon ; just ask different people about what they think of such or such celebrity as regards aesthetic operations they have had : these people will never have the same view of the result quality.

THE RIGHT SKILLS

Today, it is easy to know whether the surgeon you have chosen is really and legally skilled for the operation you are asking for, by checking the French National Council of Doctors (click here). Other surgery specializations are also skilled in aersthetic surgery : the ORL surgeons (face surgery).
